I studied in ISAF after the national strike in Togo. The whole of the academic year 1990, we were in Benin, Kome precisely.  We didn’t go to school. 1990 surely was the start of freedom and democracy struggles accross the african continent. When we came back to Lome, my mum decided to take us to Foadey’s School to discipline us.

Studying at Foadey’s school was not a joke. I have learnt that being intelligent is not enough, you have to be alert and ready anytime for assessments. “Papa Foadey”, (may his soul continue to rest in peace) the founder of ISAF, after every assessments or exams was going from class to class to praise the students that were doing well and the ones that didn’t pass were in trouble. I was so scare of the punishments that I also studied hard. This has helped me a lot later in life.

Everything I do now I give it my all. The excellence I have learned at ISAF has made me an very good employee and I also want to do more and better.

To the current students I will say, you are at the right place, please, listen to your teachers. But above all this, you need to read. Never stop reading because how you re-invent your world also depend on what you learn from the others. And the others life take place in the books too.The future is bright and you can be anything you want to be.  Therefore, the sky should be your starting point.
